LOST IN CHAYOTELAND. Trying to find the legendary strawberry fields of Brgy. Madaymen, Google Maps led us to a remote spot 22 kilometers away from our destination. Not a single strawberry grows here but everywhere you look, a sea of SAYOTE. We stopped to ask for directions from these men but ended up lingering and marveling. What a wonderful machine! With this half motorcycle, half pulley, they are able to efficiently fly sacks of sayote across the mountain sparing them the punishment of manually humping sacks, probably for days just to fill a truck. Had we not gotten lost that day, we would not have met the best sayote farmers in the Philippines and took a video that went viral millions of times around the world.
