THE BEST SALTED EGGS IN THE PHILIPPINES. The best thing about the RURI EGGS if that they came only from “pagala” ducks which means that the ducks are herded over freshly-plowed fields to eat their fill of worms and tender roots. The ducks’ sustenance are not dependent on chemical-laced commercially-bought feeds so this all-natural diet makes their eggs that taste so much better.

So starting with the eggs, our farmers immerse them in mud made from anthill earth from sugarcane field. They believe that the ants’ sweet “diet” makes a huge the difference in the finished product.. We’ve started using Mindoro Rock Salt instead of the Pangasinan sea salt we provided in previous batches. Of course Luyang dilaw (turmeric) to give it a distinctive flavor and color, sourced alternately from Dumagat farmers from Gabaldon/Dingalan or Aeta farmers from Porac. We are so proud of this almost proprietary salted eggs, that for us it is really the “The Best Salted Eggs in the Philippines”.
