DOMINGO’S SEEDLESS HEIRLOOM AVOCADOS. While some families pass on jewels and watches to the next generation as a symbol of patriarchal foresight and assiduousness, farmer families pass on special varieties of fruit to the next generation. It is a treasured family heirloom to be guarded close. One day in 1960

the late Domingo Umali, a public school teacher, had this brilliant idea to create a SEEDLESS AVOCADO. With no formal training in agriculture, he taught himself grafting and through countless failures over decades he finally came up with the perfect Avocado. The fruit is long like cucumbers and sweet like there’s honey in there, and extra viscous (maligat). Towards the end of his life, Domingo managed to incorporate a fourth quality in his final variant, one that makes this Avocado truly inheritable: he’s made it so that it would fruit in only two years. This is the avocado of avocados, found nowhere except here at RuRi. We are able to get 200 seedlings only.
